Merkaz Hamagshimim Hadassah serves as a housing facility for young Olim and tourists looking for a pluralistic community, activism and Zionism during their time in Israel. Since its establishment, The Merkaz has housed young English speakers from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, South Africa, Gibraltar, Mexico, Switzerland, Spain, Uruguay, Germany, Poland and Kosovo. Some of our residents are Sabras, and this fact contributes to the "Israeliness" of our community.
A committee carefully chooses each resident through in-depth interviews.
Rooms are furnished with tables, chairs, beds and a functional kitchenette. The residents of The Merkaz make up the core of our wider community and are the central group of volunteers that plan and implement many of our social, cultural and educational programs.
Each resident commits to ten hours of community service per month.
Applying to Live at The Merkaz
